2007 Duisburg

Under the patronage of Winfried Ballmann, a handful of Lego fans (mostly originating from the Rhineland) organized an exhibition for several months at the Kindermuseum Atlantis in Duisburg. Our MOCs covered 500 square metres and thus made up the major part of the interactive exhibition. At this time the museum was still located in a storage building in the old port of Duisburg, one of the most attractive residential and business locations in the city. All in all, more than 100,000 people visited the exhibition.

In addition to the days of placing and dismantling our MOCs, we regularly met in the museum to clean them. Sometimes we used these events for more extended meetings and sometimes for eating together in a restaurant.

To conclude the exhibition, a barbecue with all exhibitors took place on the roof terrace of the museum in August. Looking back, the exhibition was more than successful despite some differences between the exhibitors' community and the management of the museum.
